Cool car. In America, I believe it is marketed as the Lexus GX.
Mechanically, nothing much has changed in the last 13 years. Which alludes to the fact that the Prado/GX is probably one of the most reliable cars Toyota’s you can get. It’s the probably the last great Toyota/Lexus, before Toyota/Lexus went high tech with electronic everything.
A Lexus representative was joking with me that the GX harkens back to the days when you could fix cars with a little duct tape.
Modern Lexus and Toyota would be impossible to do that with.
