I have a 2008 sienna with 95K miles on. It runs great. However, sometimes the engine and VAC Trac lights are coming on. I took it to a shop and they told me to change the ignition coils and do the tune up. I also hear a very low knocking sound from the dash board mainly in the passenger side. What do this the issue could be and is it worth fixing it? Thank you so much.
Would you describe the dash board to be cracking or melting, or do you think that could happen from the way it feels? That is the MOST common issue with those Siennas.
There are few cracks in the dashboard. The knocking sound comes when its cold and I warm up the car.
The noise from the dash is just annoying and it does not hurt anything. Can you share the other code you get?
They never gave me the codes. Just verbally told me what's wrong with the car.
