Toyota Sienna 2021

Wondering what your thoughts are on the 2021 Toyota sienna ? I feel like they have Failed by putting the 4 cylinder hybrid system in the van. Why do I think this ? Because it is such a big vehicle that it will wear out the drive system faster due to being under powered and have to over work the engine. The reason I am looking for your Input is because I have not seen a video from anyone that is not payed to give a positive review of the van. Thanks for your input as we are looking to get a newer van because out 2013 sienna with 110K Has failing valve train issues..... I just know that Toyota is supposed to be good and don't want to have to get another van at 110K. What would you recommend? Thanks for your time as I know you are busy it means a lot that you would answer this so that I can make a more sound decision. The van I have the 2013 sounds like the video you did on the new forerunner with 15K but its worse when its warmed up and at 13,000 RPM and the noise is worse on the top of the engine by the timing chain...

It’s too new to tell, and I would personally avoid the first year or two of any new generation (include Toyota/Honda) to let them work out the kinks. Also, for long term reliability, the hybrid/CVT combo will not last as long as a NA/AT combo. If that’s your priority, I can’t recommend the new generation Sienna. As a matter of fact, I would recommend the previous generation Sienna - I am aware you had an issue.

I can't recommend the new generation of the Sienna either. 2016 is the last year that would be more proven reliable as it is a 6 speed auto and a naturally aspirated engine.

Mechanically, they are unknown. Exterior and interior, dmn it looks pretty. I test drove XLE AWD version, dmn it was so comfortable, but hybrid + CTV was boring, but, hey, it’s a family car.
