My 2015 Toyota Sienna Van with 151k miles isn’t blowing cold air out of vents. It measures 63 degrees at vent, so cooling is taking place, but not enough to keep from sweating inside vehicle. Have already taken to mechanic, they tried evacuation and recharging coolant. Then quoted $4,600 to replace Air Conditioner. Seems high, so I’ve scheduled appointment with another mechanic. Measured refrigerant today. Low Side is 55psi, and High Side is 89psi. Any ideas on what problem could be? Expansion valve???
Low Side is 55psi, and High Side is 89psi.
At what ambient temperature? On a hot day the low side 55 psi could be at the high side of normal, but the high side would be way too low. Here's what typical pressures would be at various temperatures:

You can find a diagnostic chart here:

It was 92 degrees outside when I measured it. Let it run for several minutes with windows open, AC max, and engine idling between 1500-2000rpm
