I know Scotty already made a video of this but now I wanna see what the community likes between these two. I like them both but I like the Camry a little more 🙂
Clarification: Are you talking about Toyota Camry versus Honda Accord or the two companies as a whole?
Companies.
If you like them both, then buy them both!
Both are good. For daily drivers, we have my wife's 2015 Camry, my 2020 Accord 2.0T Sport, and my 2021 Ridgeline HPD.
No major issues out of any. 76k miles on the Camry, 45k miles on the Accord, and 10k miles on the Ridgeline.
I'd buy another car from either brand tomorrow.
Toyota and Honda as Companies. Both are probably the best two makes in the entire world in terms of a culture of creating quality long lasting vehicles.
Toyota is the big dog in this conversation, they have significantly more market share. At the same time, they Honda is an amazing company for how far they have come, especially since they have always been the underdog compared to Toyota.
Neither company is perfect, but these two companies will stand behind their product moreso than other companies.
As far as Camry vs Accord, for most generations for the last 40 years, I much prefer the Accord. I like the overall combination of reliability, interior design, exterior design, and longevity.
I also just like the fit and finish of Honda better than Toyota. Hard to explain why, but it’s the tiny details which gives Honda the edge.
IMHO, Toyota has a slight edge on reliability.
I own both. Have a 2015 Camry and an 05 Accord with M/T. Accord is a little bit more fun to drive with the stick shift, but the Camry is a more comfortable ride and drive. Both cars have been very reliable.
I personally like Honda better but because I never drove a Toyota. I have a 2001 Honda Accord with 308,000+ miles and it’s still going strong. I just an 07 civic with 142,000+ miles and it’s great. I personally would get another Honda but Toyotas are great too. You can’t go wrong with either company.
