Hello Scotty, while driving yesterday on highway, first traction control light came on, (after filling air in tires) I pulled over and shutt off the engine and started it went off, then I deflated tires bit and light didn't came back for around 200 miles then it came back and my instrument panel start flashing, it scanned for code. It said U0001, I cleared it but came back mins after with permanently abs, hand break, traction control light and engine check light on, what I need to do. Can I drive it like this , and how long . everything works normal, breaks, lights handbreak, I drove back home 200 miles like that, no issue. Is it because I suspect my passenger side front wheel bearing is humming (not sure ) I have 2015 kia Forte with 222000 km , don't want to put much money as I am already looking to change vehicle
Also while lights were flashing, my speedometer, rpm and engine temperature needles fall to zero and went back to normal in secs..it happens few times but not after that.
I finally figured it out why it was acting up. Rear break pad was totally worn off and break piston had nothing to push on, that made abs light to come on with traction control light. Since I changed both side rear pads, everything works well and lights never came back.
Thanks for posting back with the fix.
Check the wiring and connectors from the PCM to the ECU.
