Scotty hi this is Jared Asher and I have a 2016 Toyota Camry SE 2.5 with 185k miles and I was wondering would it be worth trading in too a newer model Camry and if I did would I be best off getting the I4 or V6. Will the V6 last as long as the I4?

It's totally worth it. I own a '21 Camry myself. V6 gives you more power, but they are harder to find. Mine is I4 and it gives me plenty of power everyday. The one thing I'm really disappointed in Toyota is the paint on the Camry is very thin. I have tiny rock chips and scratches all over the panels. I drove a '15 Fusion before for 6 years on the same roads and it never had one paint chip. You may have to invest in ceramic coating to protect the paint.

Stay away from 2018-2020 model years. They have recalls.

You may also want wheel locks. Apparently, the current 8th gen Camry wheels can fit many other models of different automakers, so they are being sought after by thieves.

Do you think the V6 would be as reliable tho say as in longativity in the long run. I was looking at getting a TRD Avalon that has the V6 maybe getting a TRD Camry I'm just not too sure about the V6. Now if I do get the I4 I wanna get a XSE FWD. Do you think the XSE trim package is worth it in the Camry?

The V6 would be just as reliable as I4. They've used the same engines long time. Personally, I don't think the XSE is worth the extra you pay. The only differences I see are fancier red seats and dual exhaust.

Mine is SE and it still comes with everything, including blind spot monitor. I miss out on heated/AC seats but I'm not Justin Bieber, I'm not a baby.

I got AWD in my SE, but I believe they've stopped giving SE AWD system to force you to buy XSE if you want AWD. If you live in the south, you don't need AWD. If you live in snowy states, AWD is better, but not necessary.

You'll get more money for your car by selling it yourself.

The 4 cylinder engine is the most common engine found in any Camry, regardless of year. The 2.5 liter engine has proven to be one of Toyota's better engines. It delivers good power, reliability and excellent gas mileage.
