Hi Scotty I just got done watching one of your YouTube videos addressing whether or not damage can be done to changing the transmission which now has me drowning in anxiety!! I’m hoping you could either alleviate some of this anxiety or heck, just throw me a brick that’ll keep me down and finish me off LOL so I have a 2018 Malibu LT with a 1.5L ..I put around 10,000 miles per month on this car and right now it has 80,600 miles on it, yes a 2018. I bought this only 5 1/2 months ago and have put over 50,000 miles on it. Been planning on doing the transmission and then with this virus nonsense my wife got furloughed and I’ve been working 14 to 16 hours a day seven days a week so time has been hard to come by just a bit. After watching your video and given my make model and mileage should I rush this into a shop to have them do it ASAP or do you think it might be too late…? I’ve seen other videos on my year and model vehicle and transmission fluid has looked nearly black after only 40,000 miles so I am nearly petrified to know what mine looks like and even more so whether or not it might do more harm than good by changing it at this point. Any advice you could give would be tremendously appreciated and I hope to hear from you soon! PS new subscriber, love the vid‘s!

I have done ATF changes (even flushes) on Chevys with much more mileage than yours without a single issue. YMMV.
