[Solved] Trans problem

I have a 2011 Dodge journey LUX with 120k. I recently cracked the trans case where the trans cooler line goes in. I purchased a rebuilt 62te trans from Detroit Axle. That's to mistakes right there. Dodge and Detroit Axle. The car drove great for about 3 weeks. My wife went to the store and she barely made it home. She would get high RPM's and the car would only go about 10 mph. I let the car sit for a bit and was able to move it around the driveway and into the garage with no problem. There is a winning noise like a power steering pump with no fluid. Is this a bad torque converter?

With it whining it is probably internal to the transmission. It likely wasn't rebuilt correctly which can happen no matter where you buy it from. If you have a warranty, take it back and tell them what you have going on so they can repair it. If you don't have a warranty, you are between a rock and a hard place.
