Hi there Scotty, I have a 2gen 4runner that runs A340F transmission, however I get an issue with it when it's been parked for a while and the engine and tyranny are cooled down. Would have to run for about 5 to 10 minutes before the transmission works properly. I am to change the fluid...this weekend.
Any thoughts, suggestions...thanks.
You did not state the year or how many miles are on the vehicle or whether the transmission has been properly serviced over its life, or what symptoms you are experiencing.
See the FAQ section on changing transmission fluid. If you do change it, change the filter as well if so equipped.

Transmission would stay in 3rd for about 5 mins or so if not properly heated up.
