Mazda 6 2011 138000 miles want to change transmission oil never been change but can't find the stick or can't find the bottom screw if I get it professional down how much should I be charge and what to look out for thank you
Before changing the fluid for the first time on a high mileage transmission check the FAQ for details on potential issues.
An internet search says that model has no dipstick. There should be both a drain and a fill plug on the transmission itself. (The drain plug will be at or near the bottom of the trans, the fill plug higher up on the side.)
I have no idea what a mechanic would charge since I do all my own maintenance. What you would want if it appears safe to change the fluid is a simple drain and fill, or possibly a fluid exchange using the transmission's own internal pump. (Do not power flush it.)
Go to Youtube, type in 2011 Mazda 6 transmission fluid change and watch the available videos.
