Transmission

Scotty I bought an 06 tundra a few months back with 132,000 miles. It has the 4.0 v6 and I drive it about 80 miles a day on the highway. But the transmission will occasionally have trouble shifting into 4th and 5th gear usually right when I'm almost home. It also will downshift if I hit the brakes going down a steep hill. I had the the fluid changed when it bought it it has 139,000 miles now. What can I do to maybe fix it or is it safe to let ride?

Did you flush the fluid at 139,000 miles?

@yaser
he said he changed the fluid when he got it (132k)

Yes. But did not say he flushed it or not.

Take it to a tranny guy and see what he says. You might be able to revive it with some slip additive.
