I would have to see the ZF because they have sold millions and millions of those for various different model cars. God just seems good so far but of course it's only used in Hondas and there's less of a range of cars to compare it to

Yes, definitely the ZF transmission! My BMW has the ZF-8HP and it shifts soooo smooth. And mine is equipped with the optional sport gearbox variant that allows for super fast shifting similar to the DCT.  DCTs wear out fast because of how they operate. It uses a gearbox similar to the manual transmission and operates with two clutches. By the nature of how it's designed, it goes through tons of stress and endures really high operating temperatures, which is why they need fluid and filter changes strictly every 40,000 miles. ZF manufacturer states that their fluid is "long-life" and is changed every 80-100k miles. I've seen people change out their ZF transmission fluid at 90k miles, and it still looked pretty clean (had a good amount of pinkness to it). They are very reliable.
