I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado crew cab 5.3 Ls 190,000 miles with automatic transmission 4L60E 4 speed it has a 10 to 15 second delay going from park to drive as far as I can tell shifts for 1 to second and second to third and third to 4 no issue any thoughts on what the problem might be as far as I know has no codes.
did you check the fluid?
Check it weekly
and it's in the safe area on the dipstick when hot in idle?
Has the transmission been serviced regularly?
I don’t know for sure I had it for a year and check fluids one a week
What does the fluid look like? Is it burnt or gritty?
I’m going to say yes but I really don’t know I bought it of my mother inlaw and she was very particular of getting it serviced when I needed service
If the fluid is in bad shape that would indicate a lack of maintenance. Unfortunately a lot of people that maintain their vehicles otherwise seem to neglect the transmission.
No it not dark it red
It not burnt or gritty or dark like it scorched it looks mor red
Could it be a cloged filter or going bad shift solenoid
If the fluid looks good then the trans has probably been maintained OK, just wanted to rule out the possibility of overly dirty fluid.
The problem could be due to a number of things, you're probably going to need a transmission expert with a high-end scan tool for diagnosis.
So what do you thank the problem or problems might be where should I start fluid and filter change i’ve heard people changing their fluid on older cars or trucks with a lot of miles and a month later. The transmission goes out.
Could it be a cloged filter
Easy enough to check. Drop the pan and see.

It could be a lot of things. Transmission failure is fairly common on that model and you have pretty high mileage:

Without a pro scan tool that can read transmission data to see what's going on internally it's all guesswork. That's just the way it is with modern computer-controlled transmissions.
See the site FAQ for details on transmission fluid change issues.
