I have a 2012 Volkswagen jetta base model with 105,XXX....My question is, would I be good with getting the Trans filter and fluid changed? Or does it have too many miles too change the fluid?
Clarification: Any issues during shifting? What is the condition of the fluid? (ie. Color, smell burnt, metallic particles?)

since when is 100k too many miles?

I would change the fluid and filter if possible. Save the old fluid incase a problem comes up.
