Hi, I'm looking for a new car and saw a 1986 mercury grand marquee was for sale for around 3k with about 90k miles on it. I know the newer panther platforms were pretty reliable but are the older models reliable also?

it might have been 30 years ago. $3k is a joke right?

That vehicle is over 35+ years and will need an overhaul (at the very least due to materials degrading with time). If it’s going to be a daily, I would pass on it.
