2012 f150 v6 3.7 with 123000 miles I bought it used at 63000 miles and have never changed the transmission fluid I have no shifting problems would it be safe to change filter and oil without causing any damage

The recommended change interval is every 5 years/60k miles. I would take a sample and see how dark it is.
