How do I replace my ATF

Hi so i would like to change my transmission fluid on my 2004 honda accord lx 2.4 liter. Now i dont know where to locate the spot to refill. But i was wondering do i have to changecthe transmission filter first and if not whete would it beclocated under my hood? Can i just use the Turkey baster way and then refill it?

There is an external filter. Look for it on the transmission oil cooling line loop. It’s an in-line type.

As to the fill, you fill it through the dipstick tube. Make sure transmission oil is nice and warm before you start draining - go for 10 minutes drive just before. To refill, use genuine Honda ATF - this is a must! Make sure it is not overfilled. Measure how much drained, … than pour the equal amount of new oil in, … but, say, a 1/2 cup less. Details how to properly check level are in your owners manual and adjust by adding bit more as needed. It’s all easy peasy if you think the process through before. Have fun doing this, …

Btw, … for a drain plug, … just use 3/8 ratchet without a socket! Perfect fit that square on the ratchet for that plug!
