Hey Scotty. I have a 2018 camry and im wanting to change the transmission fluid. I made the choice to keep my old tundra and buy a car. I have never owned a car and I love it. anyway it has just over 49,000 easy miles. Im a little confused to a degree. shoulld i follow the Toyota recommended way by putting a small wire in certain spots on obd2 ports and going through the procedure they say to use or just drain and fill with amount that got drained. i am so used to just draining and filling my trucks. Thanks for the help

I've never heard of this, and I'm very curious. What is this procedure you speak of?
Funny how you asked that. Like I said I’ve never owned a vehicle with sealed transmission and I’m a maintenance nut so I was curious and googled it. Sorry I don’t know how to add link to this but look up Car Care Nut on you tube and look for his Toyota sealed transmission mission video. He’s a certified Toyota technician. It’s very interesting to watch.
Here's that link:
PLEASE GO BACK AND WATCH THE ENTIRE VIDEO FOR THE PROPER CONTEXT !!!
Neat. I did not know Toyotas had this diagnostic mode. That's very smart of Toyota. No expensive gadgets needed. Reminds me of the old days of OBD-I.
Thank you for that.
