- Hey Scotty I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado ls with a 4l60e it has 74,640miles. I was wondering if I should change the transmission fluid? I don’t know if the previous owner ever changed it at all,and would it cause any damage?

Because your car is still low mileage, change it. But you can make sure if it was recently changed but checking with the dip stick and if the colour of the fluid is not black then it might be fine.
You don't want to wait till the transmission has metal shavings in the fluid, if you do find this and opt to change your transmission fluid, this can result in the transmission potentially slipping.

I agree, it has low mileage. Check the car manual when to change it.
If it is due, then you can have it change for your peace of mind.
