i got the aftermarket dipstick for the nag1 transmission on jgc. when i insert the dipstick most of the measuring stick gets wet and it makes it very hard to tell exactly where the actual fluid level ends and what is just fluid from the tube. is this normal? and is there anything i can do to make it easier to see where the pan level ends after removing it and checking the level?

Maybe try laying the dipstick flat on a paper towel. The part of the stick which was immersed in the trans fluid should blotch wider on the towel.
