Hi Scotty, This is my problem I bought a 02 avalanche z71 4wd that I was told had a rebuilt Trans put in it buy go to drive it and it shifts 1 time that's it it'll go about 35-40mph I'm also reading 2 codes P0303 and P0650. I was wondering if there was anything I could do besides replacing the Trans
Who told you it had a rebuilt transmission? Who rebuilt it? Factory rebuild or some random shop? Many transmission rebuilds are not done properly. (Or maybe someone just put a junkyard trans in it and said it was "rebuilt".)
It needs to be diagnosed by a transmission expert.
P0303 is a misfire on cylinder #3. P0650 is a fault in the "check engine" light. Possibly the seller disabled it in order to hide problems.
