Hey Scotty,
I just bought my grandfathers truck its a 1994 GMC Sierra C2500 ext cab long bed with 5.7 Runs strong, transmission runs great cold but as the truck warms up it wont shift it feels stuck in first gear.
Miles 345,919
4spd auto
Any tips Would be greatly appreciated.

Is transmission fluid at the proper level? What is its condition? Any OBD1 codes?
You would need a Tech2 or equivalent scan tool that will work with a pre-OBD2 vehicle to check available transmission codes and data.

Of course at that mileage it's likely the transmission is just worn out.
