My automatic transmission on my 2012 Buick LaCrosse premium II AWD is hesitating to switch gears between 2nd and 3rd. What do you think the problem is? The mechanics are saying that my transmission cooler lines are leaking and the other place I went to says it’s not.
Different places will tell you different things. Did you pay both these mechanics for inspections? I am more inclined to believe that it is a software issue and not a hardware issue. Leaking transmission lines will cause the trans to overheat, not to sure if that causes hesitation between only 2 gears though. Kinda sus. I would get a 3rd non-dealership professional opinion.

What is the mileage on the transmission? Have you ever done service on it? Hope the fluid is low and not the transmission going out.
