Transmission knot in my stomach

Hey Scotty I got a 2001 Chevrolet Impala 3.4 with an automatic transmission and 147,000 miles. On two separate occasions in the last couple months, there is a wining noise while accelerating, and the shifting feels harder. Also, once in a while it will slip while gently accelerating from a stop. I know these cars are not know for their transmissions, fluid was checked by two different mechanics in the last 2 months and both said the fluid looked ok, not bright red but certainly not black or burnt. I’ve seen the Scotty videos where he talks about why you should drain and fill rather than flush, or draining 24oz and adding a bottle of Lucas. Most of the time it shifts very smooth and I try to be as gentle with it as possible. Would it be of any help to drain and fill? I wishfully thought maybe the filter could be clogged which could maybe be reason for slipping? It’s been about 4 or 5 years since a “transmission service” was performed at a dealership (not sure if it was flushed or drained). Are my worst nightmares becoming a reality or is there hope? Thank you!

I’d go ahead and do a bottle of Lucas. At this point a drain and fill will probably make it worse, if Lucas makes it better then just drive it until it dies. If it continues to worsen you can do the drain, fill and filter but it’s a hail mary pass at that point.
