What exactly is the problem? Do you have the option of having it diagnosed by a specialist independent transmission shop, in your area?

How much are you being offered, if you try to sell your vehicle, as-is?

Try to get a replacement unit - but that's just how these transmissions are, absolute worthless trash.

If you know someone who can rebuild it and warranty it for at least 6 months - go that route it's usually a lot cheaper.

It's probably the JATCO JF015E - this same transmission is the weak spot of the weakest configuration of a Lada Vesta, but funnily enough Toyota also used this design (designated K1XX) and is the basis for the launch gear cvt.

Just a tip on dealers, unless it's 100% free warranty work go elsewhere as they're going to bone you for every penny they can.

As @inthrustwetrust mentioned, what's the problem? The stealership can be saying it's a serious problem but it could be a simple selenoid, etc so head to a specialist that has a good reputation.
