Transmission Problem or not?

2002 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9 L Automatic

Bought it from a dealership for a reasonable price I could afford, it’s my first truck ever. It had 172,000 on it now it’s at almost 175,000 miles and I had it for almost half a year now. No codes after I replaced the oxygen sensor, and a gasket for something I totally forgot. Just wondering why my truck rams from 0-40 mph at 20 RPM then goes down at 10 rpm after hitting 40 mph. Is that normal? Also as im accelerating from a stop it kinda nudges twice while I’m gaining speed around 10-15 mph I would say is when the nudge occurs as driving.

engine RPM changes when the transmission shifts gears.

If the transmission lurches a lot then it's probably going out, I'm afraid. Dodge is known for bad transmissions and yours has a lot of miles.

Perfectly normal behaviour, unless you’re hearing clunking noises as the transmission shifts through its gears.
