Transmission problem in my 2018 Honda Accord 2.0T Sports

Hi Scotty. Been having a problem with my transmission on my 2018 Honda Accord Sports 2.0T for two weeks now. After driving a few kilometers the gear light in the dashboard starts to blink and I get the transmission error message and the gears don’t change.  Took it to several mechanics. First one did an inspection on the transmission and said there was no problem with it and that the issue could be an electrical fault. I’ve taken it to the Honda dealership now and it looks like they’re having a hard time finding the problem. They tried to sell me a new transmission but I told them that isn’t the problem cos I’ve already had it checked out. What could it be? Please help.

  1. Well when that light blinks it means there's a transmission code stored. So that needs to be analyzed now. If they can't get any transmission codes on slashing that often means the problem in a transmission control module or the wiring going to it

Can a P2685 code cause this problem? Got this code a while back but didn’t take it seriously.

Given that it indicates a problem with the transmission electronics I'd say should be taken seriously.
