last march noticed my car had a 3rd to 4th issue but this year earlier found out my trans lines leaked so i replaced them and still had issues but no codes. recently i got a scan tool and reset adaptives and it fixed my problem? im curious on why it fixed my issue but also there are 3 codes that are on the "not tested" area the main one is p0742, p0815, p0816. my car is a 2013 cruze with 98k miles.

still had issues

what issues?

Maybe it didn't "fix" anything. The problems could be just masked, and they'll come back.

We can't answer your question with such vague information.

I don't understand . What are "not tested" diagnostic codes?

it was a 3rd to 4th flair/bump but was different everytime and after the reset this was gone.

what comes up on the scanner

Spoiler

1 P0742-00 Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) System Stuck On Not Run
2 P0815-00 Upshift Switch Circuit Not Run
3 P0816-00 Downshift Switch Circuit Not Run

bump you mean like hard shift?
If the electronics are malfunctioning then the adaptations could have been incorrect.

I don't know why your scanner says "not run" . You don't "run" codes. The vehicle either reports them or doesn't.

anyway you have some electrical problems. Either in the transmission, the wiring, or your paddle shifting buttons.

The transmission should be serviced every 50k (fluid + filter replacement). Was that done?

I would take it to a transmission specialist to be diagnosed.

lol i wish i had paddle shifters it does have the manual/sport mode but both upshift/downshift work fine. i put in fresh fluid when i changed out the cooler lines and made sure the temp was to spec to avoid overfilling/underfilling.
