I have a 2018 Mazda Cx-5 AWD with 119k+ miles. I just had the dealer do a transmission service which was basically a flush. I though a drain and fill and replace filter. Can anyone tell me if Mazda does that or is that the trend they are going now?

Scotty never recommends flushes. No, it's not a new trend at all, dealers have sold flushes for years.

It's most likely up to the individual dealer. If the car is out of warranty it's best to find a good independent mechanic for your service needs.
