water leak

I have a 2024 Subaru Outback limited it leaks in the door track. I had the same issue with my 2022 SOA bought it back, and I got this 2024 with the same issue now. Dealership is telling me this is normal. I originally had a 2019 same model no issues.

It's not "normal" to have a door leak. (The dealer would probably tell you it was "normal" if a front wheel fell off every time you turned the steering wheel.)

Try another dealer service department and if they give you the same song and dance escalate the problem to Subaru corporate.

Thanks for responding. I did have the 2022 to 2 separate dealers. Subaru of America bought it back. I got the 2024 same issue, the dealership said they couldn’t duplicate it. I took pictures and videos. Then I got the this is normal and how the drain works. I contacted SOA and new vin new case. I am at the 2nd time at the dealership for this. I can take a hose to it every day, it’s still there. I tried to explain that this will freeze in winter and lead to further damage. I also saw on a Subaru forum crosstrek having same issue stating drain problem or seal. Any suggestions? They are acting like I’m not intelligent enough to understand this. SOA doesn’t buy back a vehicle if they can fix it. Management at dealership claimed it was due to the number of times not the issue. I told them you just set a precedent that this is not normal through the buy back.

Did they even bother to check the drains? I don't know what else you can do aside from getting the company involved. The problem would probably not be considered severe enough to bring lemon laws into play, but you'd have to check the details of your state law.

doors usually have two seals. Where is yours leaking? Photos would be really helpful.
