scotty are the 4 speed automatic transmissions beater or worse then the 6 speed?
Depends on what car it is. 4 speeds are pretty old school now and don't make it into any modern vehicles anymore for a reason... you are limited to how much the torque is being applied by the optimal rpm in each gear. So technically more gears means more fuel efficient and sometimes a little bit faster.
@cjbman
well in the dodge grand caravans is the 6 speed or 4 speed more reliable?
The 4 speed will probably last longer as there is less moving happening in the valve body of the transmission. Still not sure if the caravan is the best choice. You can Google Chrysler electrical failures and find enough to turn you off of anything they make.
@cjbman
well personaly electrical issues i don't really mind dealing with sense you can get them for really cheap i just want to pick the model with the good transmissions, for example i saw one guy buy a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country for 400 bucks with original transmission and it had electrical issues yes but he drove it to canada and back with no mechanical issues
