Scotty, My 2000 4runner, the gear engages violently/kicks into gear when first shifts. It doesn't do it all the time either and seems to go away when the car warms up and driven for awhile. What could be the cause for this issue? Thx!

Check the transmission fluid it sounds like a low fluid.
