- 2012 Chevy Silverado 2wd Automatic
- Bought from dealership under “limited warranty” 3 weeks later, the transmission won’t shift into 3rd, dealership replaced trans because the third shift solenoid was bad and they couldnt replace just the bad solenoid, but it was under warranty so who cares, fine. then 4 months later the engine started to show loss of power, took valve covers off, engine was filled with coolant+oil sludge, replaced engine (out of pocket expense since the trans swap used up all the warranty) so now with the brand new engine in it, the trans doesn’t shift into any gear, engine runs great torque converter is connected, I dont know what happened during this engine pull to make it do this. help

Who did the work? Hopefully, it's something simple like the linkage isn't properly hooked up or adjusted properly. If you did it, it's on you, if somebody else did it take it back.

what kind of piece of crap warranty gets "used up"?
So it's only good for the first problem or something?
