Hey everyone question. A 2016 F150 3.5 Ecoboost or a Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi V8? I heard good for both. Trading in my car next year and will need something that will last. I have had buddies that said the Fords 3.5 was great for towing and lasted well over 250k miles. Also heard the Hemi did as well, but had the “Hemi Tick”. (I also heard of a 2014 Silverado lasting over 250k, but that hard to believe personally lol) I like both but when it comes to money I would like to know peoples opinions and experiences if any with these trucks. Id look for an N/A V8 F150 over the turbo V6.
The Ram 1500 would be a lot better than the F-150 with the Ecoboost V6. Reason is that the engine in the Ram is naturally aspirated. The Ecoboost is obviously not since it already comes with GDI as well so if you still want a new F-150, I'd advise you get one with the 5.0L V8. It won't have as much problems as the Ecoboost V6 would have.
