How do you recommend buying a used camper shell for a 2nd gen Nissan Frontier crew cab short bed. The bed is 5’ long I’ve been looking on line and found many people selling for tacomas with the short bed or 5’ long shell. Do all short bed trucks have the same dimensions?
Look first and make sure its for a mid size truck. I've seen guys put a Tacomas shell on a Frontier and it worked just fine. The roof line wasn't flush but doesn't look half bad. Just remember to attach waterproofing strips before installing.

Look up or measure out the Dimensions and see if they match up.
