  1. I have a 2001 g m c Sierra SLE extended cab 2 wheel drive 5.3 L V8 automatic modern 118000 miles on the truck I just invested $5,000 in it needed frame repair and $2,000 worth of other mechanical stuff with the engine tune-up plugs wires coil packs very expensive but the truck needed it new fuel lines new belts new tensioner pulley new AC tensioner pulley new battery new air filter oil change change the tie rods 2 years ago inner and outer both sides the truck just handles really sloppy really bumpy when it hits bumps I bought a suspension kit for it includes four shocks in front coils what else would you do to this to rejuvenate the suspension on this truck what other front end parts could I change on this the make the driver of the vehicle be more responsive and feel better driving it I just need some suggestions on what I should do to move forward to fix this what are the other front end parts you would replace in the front end of this truck it has a wobble at around 60 miles per hour it's not the tires I have them check so I guess the front end parts are just so worn out but any help Scotty would be really appreciated I live in New England thanks EJ

Please clarify - you bought a suspension kit. Did you install it? Did you or a mechanic do the tie rods and other front end work?

You put $7000 in it - I presume that work was done by a shop. I'd consider  taking it to a different shop to see if they did the work properly.

The suspension kit is not put in yet it has the old suspension still on it and it does not have frame damage it had frame rot it had to be repaired the shop just used cheaper Metals than they were supposed to I'm going back there in three days to have them redo the job the tie rods were not done yet but I replaced them two years ago with all new products so it's a little weird that I need tie rods I live in New England throws up here are absolutely horrible especially in the winter time so a 2-wheel drive truck is going to take more of a beating than a four-wheel drive so that's why I bought really really good shocks and Moog coil springs Scotty Kilmer reply to it also he thought the truck had frame damage it didn't have frame damage it only had frame rot only a couple spots it wasn't bad at all cost me $1,997 to repair it. My question for you chinga you wrote a lot about Vehicles it seems money I have invested in this vehicle a lot of money it only has a hundred and eighteen thousand miles on it engine runs excellent transmission shifts really good it's just that shakes anything past 55 60 miles per hour I don't understand but I think I may have a bad carrier bearing I'm having it checked when it goes into the shop if it does I am having it fixed and yes all my work was done at a shop actually two shops pawn shop in about $5,000 worth of work and the other shop did about $800 worth of work I just want to know what type of front end parts I should replace to make my ride quality better I know I have to replace the tie rods and I'm replacing the sway bar bushings what else would you replace to rejuvenate this front end any information would really help thanks a lot man really appreciate it.

Yeah start with the suggestion already given to go to another shop and have them check it cuz if it had frame damage they might have put the frame together wrong and it will never handle right
