I have a well maintained 1998 chevy truck 1500 w/t. Occasionally it won't start. About 5 or 6 tries later, it starts and all is fine for a couple of months. Then out of the blue it happens again. It has 6cyl in it. I have replaced the gas tank, fuel pump, fuel lines(front to the back), and the fuel filter. Truck runs great. Has 145,000 miles on it. When it breaks, I fix it. No check engine light either, just wont start for a few tries, then it does. Local mechanics can't fix it if they can't get it to act up. Ideas??
thank you,
You may have a flakey ignition switch.
Might want to check your coil. PDF attached. They only coast about $30 with a limited lifetime warranty.

It isn't the coil. Will try the ignition this weekend.
