Is a 1990 chevy pick up a good truck for my first car
Since you say it's in good shape and been maintained and previous owner kept up with all the rubber parts etc., just keep up with everything. I see lot's of that gen square body pickups still on the road. Been doing working on my own vehicles for over 40 years and that's how this ol' lady learned all the things that I know.
If you like to learn to fix things and it's not rusted out. It can be. But you cannot drive that thing all day everyday. The rubber seals, gaskets, wires, connectors on that must be worn pretty good after 30 years.
its been well maintenaced all its life and it runs and drives great ive driven it a few times around down and up the highway but i dont have a license yet so i try not to drive around to much witch i dont drive it much
YES!
Get it and ignore all other "opinions"
if something breaks, fix it.
drive carefully and enjoy the ride
if you like it, what others think has NO VALUE
If safety, gas miles, and practicality all mean nothing to you, then yes, its a great truck. Come on.. A 30 year old Chevy truck. You can do better than that. Get an suv at least if you want to sit up high. If you are planning on putting some ladies in the truck, then maybe you are onto something there, man.
