I have a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan 141,000 Km’s (live in Canada).
My power door locks will randomly lock by themselves. Sometimes after 10s, other times after 60s, there is no rhyme or reason as to when they lock.
They also like to lock when any door is shut from the open position.
I can hit the key fob to unlock the doors again, but if another door is shut, they will all lock again.
This is super frustrating when doing anything on the car (like vacuuming it out). I am also super nervous of setting my (only) key down on the seat and have the wind blow my door shut and as a result, it locks my key in the van.
Any ideas what the problem may be?
well more often than not it means that the power door lock computer module assembly is breaking down but sometimes it's the inside driver's main control unit bad if you want to guess with a new one of that they'll often do that if the switch is inside start to break down and you just replace it as a unit
