Hi! I've been looking for something utilitarian on the used market that was either a truck or SUV. Any suggestions? I do have a budget of around 3,000 dollars, but it should be noted that in the area that I live that many of the vehicles on the used market have around 200,000 miles on them. Although, I have found a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with 170,000 miles on it for around 3,500 dollars and was wondering if that was worth it? I do apologize if my question isn't very coherent I am still new to this site. Thank you.
my neighbor has one with 400k miles, think that it has the 4.0 engine
i would shoot for a Ford Ranger, might be able to find a decent high mileage CR-V in that price range
I did a little bit more research and found a 1999 Ford Ranger with 216,000 miles on it for 2500. It's in considerably good shape for the miles, it's also a short bed.
To much for for that old car but if it is less than $2000 I say go for it
I'll see if I can negotiate the price down to 2000 or below because it does look like a good car to buy.
Maybe a 2000 tundra with high mileage could go for 3k. Also, an old crv 2002 could go for 3k with higher mileage. I suggest the 02 crv, cause it is the best for 3k you can get these days. But, make sure it is an ex model for the side airbags as safety is a big concern.
