axle seal keeps ripping

I have a 2012 Ford Fusion with 172,000 miles. i got new cv shafts in October and last month it started dripping fluid out of the driver's side axle seal and i had my independent/mobile mechanic replace that seal. Today it started dripping again after i made a u-turn/sharp-left turn.  Why would it keep ripping the seal when i make u-turns? Mechanic says it's a common problem with that transmission and said to ask Ford to fix it for free. but i doubt they will fix it for free.  The TSB doc says it's the transmission case bushing.

Did the axles get seated properly? All the way in? Are they the correct ones?

If yes, then the TSB is probably right.

i don't know, i had a NAPA garage do it as i was out of town when they went bad. my regular mechanic says that axle seems too loose or have too much movement, but it doesnt shake when i drive so it should be fine? i just dont understand how turning sharp could rip a new seal.

just because something doesn't shake, you can't just guess that they're fine. You actually need to get your eyeballs on the part. Usually when things start shaking, they've gotten pretty bad.

Sharp turns put the the most strain on cv axles. That's when they work the hardest.

so is your mechanic interested in fixing your problem, or just commenting on it?

the mechanic quoted me $650 the Ford dealer quoted me $475 to fix it. but i put Blue Devil leak stop in 5 weeks ago and it hasnt leaked a drop since... so im not paying the $475 til it leaks again.

well here's an update... after 10k miles the Blue Devil stuff stopped working and it was dripping all over the pavement... Dealer wanted my car for 3 weeks so i took it to a transmission shop.... they replaced the cv axle (again) and the axle seal (again) and the transmission case bushing (the TSB)  and it stopped leaking. that was back in October.... now it's leaking again.   Firestone said all 3 motor mounts (engine mount, torque strut mount, and transmission mount) are no good... could the transmission mount be what's ripping these seals so often? it's been replaced twice in 18 months.  i still have a dipsitck on my transmission so i keep an eye on the level, but this is getting annoying. the car has 209,000 miles now

yes, if the engine/transmission are not sitting at the correct angle, then it will put stress on the axle.
