Trunk lid not aligned = frame damage?

Hi Scotty,

1997 Toyota Camry CE, 219285, manual. Looking pictures of this on a dealer's lot. Link below.

Photos 3 & 4 show the trunk lid "out of alignment", there's more space on passenger side (a quarter inch?), and it is not flush on driver's side; what kind of damage might there be to the vehicle?

Also, the flap over the gas tank does not appear to close all the way. It is slightly ajar.

There's no surface rust on the engine and hoses look well maintained. Please see photo 14.

This is in Utah, and I'd be driving from the Kansas City area to see family in CA.

Would it be worth taking a look?

Thank you!

It's pretty doubtful a legitimate car dealer (to the extent there is such a thing) is going to be selling a 25-year-old car to begin with, and you're already seeing some red flags just from the photos. They're asking $2000 and they probably paid $200 for it. I'd pass it by.

In my opinion, it is not worth checking.

Don't even consider buying ANYTHING  from a dealer, ever.
