We have a 2016 Corolla where the trunk isn't opening.
I tried the fob, latch by the driver seat, and crawled into the trunk from the back seats to use the emergency lever with no luck. I hear it detach but it doesn't spring open. I tried using pure muscle strength with no luck and I stopped fearing I'd break something
Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this?
I called the dealer yesterday and they believe it's in Valet mode. There isn't a key hole in the trunk for me to turn it clockwise.

The dealer may be right. It is unlikely that all of the mechanisms do not work simultaneously. Toggle the valet mode switch. It should be either under the glovebox or under the dash in the driver side.
