Alright guys, I know what yall are about to say, "Is this guy out of his mind for bringing up fiat" I know I know, But here me out. Its a 2016 with 70k highway miles witha  6 speed transmission. 1.4 turbo model. I have the opportunity to get it for 6k from a family member. Is it worth it or not.

For $6000, I’d honestly get a much better made car like a Corolla or a Civic. But if you’re dead set on the 500X, get rid of it as soon as it shows the first signs of trouble.

Good luck!

How long do you plan to have it? I wonder why the owner doesn't want it anymore.

Im getting it offered from my step dad as I need a new car for my college internship. The 70k miles have been clean on the car, with only scheduled maintenance being done on it. I would like to keep it for at least the end of grad school so approx 3-4 years.

I think it can be ok for such short period of time.

$6000 for a Fiat?  These two terms just cannot go together.  If you buy it from a family member, it's going to be a very unpleasant Thanksgiving dinner.  How many clowns can you really get in that thing?

Fix It Again Tony. Fiats are endless moneypits and the fact that that one has a turbocharger on it will make it even worse.

Nah. I would probably pass, get something better for $6000 like a Volvo XC70, Honda CR-V, or RAV-4. There is a reason why Fiat stands for FIX IT AGAIN TONY.

I would pass on that vehicle.

I've always wanted a Fiat being Italian from a major city. But I moved and discovered Scotty youtube channel. Not so great car for where I live now.

Have you really seen all his videos about fiats? It just seems like its to much hassle for me. The only benefit I see is its small body in tight city parking.

Everything else sounds like its not worth it.

Money is tight so I would want something more reliable. Ultimately your choice, its cute body and  ancestral home company is not enough for me.

It could be ok for a few months maybe but as the years go by you will have an awkward conversation at the dinner table about how its falling apart. I personally would run away from it, c'mon its a 500X.
