So I bought a 2002 F-250 Diesel 7.3, Love the truck except, since we got it back from the Transmission mechanic, it starts great, no black or white smoke sounds fine.... but no turbo! No pressure NADA, and without the turbo these big 3/4 ton trucks are about as fast as a tortoise on race day. I checked the hose between the Turbo and the MAP sensor and its fine...little bit of oil on the outside of it but otherwise intact and plug free. Not sure what it is or if you've even dealt much with Diesels, but figured I'd ask.

lack of power in a 21yo truck ... I would just expect the turbo is worn out. The impeller/turbine blades and shaft just wear out over time.
If the turbocharger has a wastegate as on gasoline engines that may be stuck open.
Turbo is brand new, put in just before went to get the transmission repaired. Might be waste gate that's worth a look thanks.
