Santafe 2013, AWD. 177K KMS.
I have Runway tires installed for all 4 wheels. 235/60 R18.
2 days ago one of the back tire (passenger side) had a bulge and had to replace them. Since I did not get Runway, I had to go for Laufenn (hankook ) brand for the one which is quite expensive but I had no other option. It is the same spec 235/60 R18.
Is it a problem running with 3 tyres from Runway and one from Laufenn. I do primarily highway driving only and being an AWD the mechanic said the car primarily drives the Front wheels and only back wheels when it senses slippage. So one tire being of a diff company wont make a problem.
Tires in the front are new ones since I had the same problem last month. Only the back one tire on driver side is a year and half old.
Please do advise.
Well you really supposed to have all four same tires. The main thing is the diameter of the tire. One can't be a different size. So I would get a string and I would measure exactly how far around it is on both the rear tires. And if it was just about exactly the same that's okay. But One is bigger or smaller. That's not a good idea
