Automatic transmission slipping

I have a 2006 Toyota Crown Royal Saloon with 2490 4gr engine. I need to be sure if my car has a transmission problem or it's just runs low transmission fluid.

The transmission feels like it's slipping between gears when it's cold and I have been letting the engine warm up to the operating temperature before driving and the car sometimes stops and the rpm goes up without the car accelerating.

But after driving for a while like 30 minutes or so the slipping stops and sometimes the problem appears when the car slows down.

What might be the problem, is it bad transmission or I'm running low on transmission fluid?

Really like your videos they are really helpful.

Thanks.

You need to provide all the information in the instructions please. How much on the odometer?

18yo car ... probably bad transmission. There's nowhere really for transmission fluid to go.

If I knew what model transmission you have, I would tell you how to check the fluid level. But technical information about your car model is extremely difficult to find on the internet. I was not able to find it. If there's no dipstick, then there's probably a check plug on the pan and a complicated procedure to check it. Might be best just to bring the car to a transmission specialist. This should be done anyway every 50,000 mi /90,000 km to have the fluid replaced. When automatic transmissions aren't serviced regularly , they fail quicker.
