My son's 2011 Honda Civic with 75K miles, starts right up however while in park or reverse, it idles rough/vibrates (no warning lights). When you shift into drive it runs ok and once it warms up, the sound/vibration virtually disappears. I brought it to a mechanic that said it was engine or transmission mounts but after replacement, the problem remains. Do you know what it might be?
does the problem only exist when the engine is cold?
Yes it only happens when its cold, after 20 minutes or so its smooth and normal.

Start with cleaning the MAF sensor and throttle body. Do you have any CEL?
