2014 Ford Escape Doing Well.. what to watch out for?

Granted I realize it has transmission issues, but I live in a country in West Africa now and when buying a used car, you are unlikely to get the "Asian makes" in a non-salvage title. They rebuild here in Africa so we thought it best to go with a clean history Ford..

The dealers did some funny business and it was presented as a 67,000 mile car when in fact it's a 140,000 mile car. The interior is nearly flawless - you'd think it was new inside and out with a few exceptions - a bit of rust on the body and a few spots in the paint that need to be touched up before they spread. Largest is about the size of a quarter, on the hood.

It was imported from Canada and had only 2 previous owners (carfax available at individual request), the first 114k~ miles were put on by it's first owner - the Canadian Ministry for Transportation. It was towed twice getting close to/just over 100k miles and continued on to it's second owner. It is likely that the transmission was worked on as this tends to be the "fail range" but the service record didn't state it specifically.

Other than a busted rear window wiper arm (shipping mishap) and an oxygen sensor I have coming in replacement, it seems to be doing really well. Not noticing issues with transmission, replaced air filter, oil filter and oil as soon as possible with full synthetic 5w-30 (heavier weight due to heat here..).

What should I be watching for? Is it likely the "worst is over" as it was already serviced? It is a clean title and as I said, haven't noticed any serious issues as of yet.

Specifically, this is the 2014 Ford Escape SE 1.6L ecoboost 4wd.

Thanks!
